Bullet Description Builder
Pinterest descriptions get skimmed, not read. This turns a topic and a few benefits into a short, scannable description with a keyword-first opening line and clean bullets.
Input
Runs in your browserTwo to four lines works best. They become the bullets.
Result
Add a topic and a few benefits.
Why bullets work in a description
The description field is small and often clipped. Bullets let a reader take in three facts in the time it takes to read one sentence, and they signal that the pin delivers a list rather than a story. That matters most on how-to and roundup pins, where the reader is scanning for a reason to click.
The opening line carries the keyword
Write the first sentence as a plain statement containing the exact phrase someone would search. Pinterest indexes that text, and so does the reader deciding whether this pin is about what they typed. Everything after it can be shorter and looser.
How many bullets
Two to four. Five or more turns the description into a wall on mobile, where most Pinterest traffic lives. If you have more benefits than that, keep the three strongest and let the article carry the rest.
Where to go next
For the longer version of the same field, Description & Hashtags writes three lengths and a tag set. If the pin links to a blog post, Meta Description Writer handles the search snippet instead.
How to use Bullet Description Builder
- Type the phrase your reader would search.
- List two to four concrete benefits.
- Copy the description into your pin.
Bullet Description Builder FAQ
Do bullets work on Pinterest?
They render as separate lines and survive the feed truncation better than long paragraphs. Keep each under about 12 words.
Should the description repeat the title?
No. The title makes the promise; the description adds the specifics the title had no room for.
How long can a pin description be?
Pinterest accepts up to 500 characters, and this site stores up to 800. Aim for 150–250 so the whole thing is visible when someone expands the pin.
