Description Formatter
Descriptions pasted from elsewhere arrive with double spaces, smart quotes, stray line breaks and tracking parameters. Clean them into something that fits the field and reads properly.

What gets cleaned
Collapsed double spaces, trailing spaces on every line, smart quotes and dashes that some editors mangle, stray blank lines, and any tracking parameters left on URLs. The result reads the same but fits the field without Pinterest truncating it mid-word.
Why the character limit matters
Pinterest silently truncates a title at 100 characters and a description at 500. If you paste something longer, the cut lands wherever it lands — often mid-sentence. Trimming at a word boundary keeps the visible part readable.
Line breaks
Pinterest preserves line breaks in a description, which is useful for a short list but wasteful for a sentence. The formatter collapses single breaks inside a paragraph and keeps deliberate blank lines.
How to use Description Formatter
- Paste whatever you have.
- Choose the field you are filling.
- Copy the cleaned version — it is already the right length.
Description Formatter FAQ
Does this change my words?
No. It only fixes whitespace, quotes and length.
Why did my emoji disappear?
It should not — emojis are preserved. If one is missing it was likely already broken in the source.
Can I use this for the title field?
Yes — pick the 100-character target.
