What Pinterest actually penalises
Engagement bait (“follow for follow”, “comment YES”), misleading claims (“miracle”, “guaranteed results”), and keyword stuffing — the same phrase repeated until the sentence stops being a sentence. None of these are automatic bans, but they are signals that the pin is written for the algorithm rather than the reader.
Hashtag count is the most common mistake
A description with twenty hashtags reads as spam to a human and adds nothing for the algorithm, which already has the description text. Two to five relevant tags is the whole recommendation; the checker flags anything past eight.
Fix the sentence, not the word
Replacing “guaranteed” with “proven” does not fix a claim that cannot be supported. If a line is flagged for a misleading promise, rewrite what the pin promises. The word is a symptom.

Are emojis spam?
Not on their own. A wall of them, or emojis replacing words, hurts readability and looks automated.

No. It reads text only. Images are reviewed separately by Pinterest and by people.
